Damn great Substack article Greg! “Everyone is Welcome Here”, but let’s have folks leave their bigotry behind…

They’re all thick as thieves. Is District 7 Rep. Kyle Larson in the photo? The beefy guy next to Keyser looks like him.

Casey Whalen’s statement that he can’t figure out why people don’t like “family values” made me slap my forehead.

Well Casey, maybe it’s because your “family values” of hatred, racism and discrimination aren’t really family values at all.

I recently read a post that read, “I’d rather live next door to an illegal immigrant family with trans children than a hateful white supremacist.” Me too.

A limerick: While I scrolled through my phone on the shitter / Reading hate-speech on X (y'know, Twitter), / "I'd rather be 'f*ggot' than bigoted MAGAt," / I said as I farted out glitter.

Well there is a lot of misinformation in your article. In reality once you walked inside the gate it was just a regular festival. Tons of bounce houses, balloons, and games in the kids zone, all free. Beers were priced at $5, because the intention was not to gouge people the way most festivals do. There were no tickets or fees, the entertainment was free - Michael Austin headlined, and it truly was just a great weekend event for everyone who came. Approximately 1500 people in total over both days, and about a third were young children.

As far as the racist comment by Dave Reilley, Mark did not even hear him say it. The adjacent stage and music was loud and he did not have earphones and Dave whispered it. Mark didn't find out about that comment until Sunday afternoon. Of course Mark isn't racist. One of his children has black heritage. He also responds to all immediate inquiries so perhaps you should have asked him for a statement.

There is a link to his post about this in the article. I notice you did not mention or attempt to defend Mark’s anti-semitism and bigotry.

Mark invited Dave Reilly and “The Backlash” to do a live podcast. He knows how racist and anti-Semitic they are. Nobody is buying this attempt to gaslight people who saw the video of him grinning after Reilly’s comment with their own eyes.

I do wonder how many other Fitzpatrick apologists will come on here to try and defend him.

Wow this sounds defensive. Pictures shows almost no one came. In contrast Boise’s No Kings rally broke records and gathered attention nationwide.

Good. People are sick of the division and cruelty in Idaho and everywhere else.
