I agree with the Author, with my own Opinion about waving the flags. The Rainbow Flag has never been waved around Such CRUELTY as that Confederate Flag has been, and what it REPRESENTS is far More Bigoted and CRUEL that the United States HAS NOT BEEN UNITED under Those Stars and BARS, It s Represents what Oligarchs are Attempting to Bring Back in 2025, Property Owners, Wage Slaves, Do as your told Or suffer Imprisonment, Torture, Even Death, The Flying of the Confederate Flag is a TRAITORS Flag, to the UNITED STATES, IT WAS in 1861, and it is in 2025. How are they GOING to "BAN" the RAINBOW when it shows up after a GOOD RAIN in BOISE?

I do appreciate the irony coming from a GOP leader when their platform proclaims that the best government is the government closest to the people. I may not be remembering this correctly, but wasn’t Heather that famous Idahoan set on making cannibalism illegal?? Now that would be one hell of a flag!

Yes, I am being a bit snarky, but every time the legislature comes to town, the people of Boise and AdaCounty get dragged through the mud.

As an Idaho native, now living in Washington State, I still keep close track of what is going on in Idabama. Labradoodle lacks insight, ethics, and a spine, among other human qualities. If it weren’t for Boise and the surrounding areas, Idaho would be in a third world of hurt. There is history of sanctimony, think Larry Craig, Senator bisexual hisself. They keep electing people who are good Mormons on Sunday, praising their Lamanite brothers and sisters, but want them incarcerated if they cross the southern border, but once here think nothing of hiring them to perform labor on farms and ranches. Senator Crapo, past Bishop in the Mormon church, has a drunk driving conviction from a few years ago. They gladly accept money from the Chips Act so Micron can expand and produce microchips here in the US, but hate the Democratic Party that pushed it through. I remember the days when Democrats had Frank Church as a powerful senator, and had Democrat Cecil Andrus running the state and standing up to the Department of Energy trying to bring in nuclear waste that was not generated in Idaho, for storage. The schools are now literally falling apart, but by God there will be no pride flags flying. Sad to see but with people like Mayor McLean, the state may just have a fighting chance.

Love that Heather Scott is a "they" at one point. I'm not a militant pronouns guy by any means, but if anyone deserves to be mockingly misgendered on the regular, it's Heather. He's the worst.

I fixed that typo. This was not intentional, but it is funny.

Funny! I would’ve used “it”.

As in California. A certain group of people are above the law. Looks like Idaho is following suit. Why isn't a judge the one to penalize an official for breaking the law? Too much of a financial driven influence here in Idaho. Law enforcement is being held back from doing their job. What an excuse. People are so sick of this behavior.

You might be a Democrat plant if...the basis for your attacks on "fellow" conservatives is how strictly they adhered to Covid lockdown measures in 2020, which as has been publicly disclosed were not based on anything scientific. Only true-believer Democrats and paid operatives are not embarrassed by their party's Covid authoritarianism.

Hypocrisy is at the heart of these reactionary "conservatives". They really think that nothing else matters unless "you own the libs". Meanwhile there are REAL families in Idaho being harmed by bigotry. And any attempts to demonstrate empathy, compassion, and inclusion by a city or town is met with further hatred. Which only perpetuates the harm to our citizens. These reactionaries care only about power for the sake of power and don't actually doing the real work of developing legislation that helps our state.
