IFF and other out-of-state organizations use their deep pockets of dark money to buy some Idaho's elections and thus own the politicans who win. The 2026 primary elections will be critical to change this take over. Idaho citizens, we have to know who we are electing!
I agree with you, I don't get it? Don't these " Men" want to get re- elected next time? What are they thinking? There will now be " fuel for the Democrats, especially the women " who would of voted Republican!! You know guys that was a poor choice of measures to vote down?? Don't any of you have daughters and or grandaughters?? Your not helping Women, or the Republican Party! You all need to wake up.
That’s one impressive resume, Ms. Welch! When do you have time to sleep?
All kidding aside, this accelerating shift to deprive women of their hard-fought rights isn’t just disturbing, it’s counter-productive.
Studies show that the most advanced, economically sound, democratic nations are the ones where women are active participants in every facet of society. Women make up half of this country’s population. Their contributions are legendary and their economic strength is powerful. Why would anyone want to reverse course?
It’s because of “traditionalists” who view the world through the fictitious, 1950s TV lens of “Leave it to Beaver”.
It’s 2025. Feel free to get with the program and join strong women in the real world.
I agree! One of my favorite political scientists found that the treatment of women is a national security issue. Nations who treat their women poorly are more likely to aggressively attack neighboring countries.
It blows my mind that we are continuing to have these discussions in 2025.
It blows my mind too. I feel like I’m in a time warp. The tunnel vision of the males leading the charge backward is stunning in its dismissal of facts, statistics, history and common sense. It’s frustrating.
The national security issue you raised is interesting. I hadn’t heard that before, but it makes sense. I’m going to have to explore that issue more.
Another interesting point I read recently was that in countries whose diplomatic corps include women, the negotiations they participate in and the treaties they craft are fairer to both/all parties and the results are longer lasting.
She is saying Representative Leavitt is against women. Representative Leavitt is a Legislative Co-sponsors RS32127 / H0134
I know for a fact he is not against women, he even co-sponsored one for me. So, she is totally wrong.
What she doesn't understand it how to read a bill and how to learn why a legislator voted for or against it. She is "assuming", and not factual at all in her claims and is seeking recognition for her publications. She may want to interview people before she makes public statement that are not true.
I agree with her that women are in danger in Idaho. Maybe it’s unintentional by some, but there is an undercurrent of dismissing the needs of women taking over the GOP. I’m a lifelong Republican and have spent most of my adult life in Idaho.
"S1023 is a simple, commonsense bill. It ensures that no one - especially employees, students, or children - can be forced to undergo medical treatment against their will or without a parent's consent. It does not prevent schools from sending home sick kids. It simply says that you decide what goes into your body. That is the basic human right
Governor Little may have turned his back on liberty, but the Legislature doesn't have to."
"TAKE ACTION NOw: Tell your legislators to override the Governor's veto of S1023 and stand up for medical freedom in Idaho. You can reach all representatives and senators quickly at http://emailidaho.com/"
This is an unfortunate piece of progressive writing. You made false claims & I'm forced to correct you since you accused good men of basic misogyny.
HB134 is co-sponsored by Rep Leavitt (pictured), here's proof. Our representatives are individuals, not mobs.
The most important thing a Godly woman can do is protect good men from being falsely accused. Too many women think men are the problem while your claims lie on a false premise. This opinion piece should be corrected and you need to remove Rep Leavitt’s picture, if you're a Godly woman of truth.
What Allison Welch should study is this bill. If she is so concerned about the legislators against women. Does she like this one? House Bill 306 would repeal this chapter and replace it with one that creates the felony of "criminal libel," saying, "A person who, with actual malice, publishes a false statement about another person shall be guilty of criminal libel."
Allison Welch claimed that “some of our current ‘Republican’ legislators vote in a manner that harms women.” That’s a bold accusation — and in my case, it’s simply false.
She specifically mentioned House Bill 134, saying I didn’t support it. That’s not true. I was not only a supporter — I was a cosponsor. You can verify that here:
I don’t vote based on political pressure or opinion pieces. I rely on real-world experience and a consistent principle: Is this the proper role of government? Emotional arguments may be persuasive, but they don’t justify expanding government beyond its intended role.
Let me be clear — I support women. I support their safety, dignity, and equal protection under the law — both born and preborn. That includes protecting them from trafficking, promoting accountability, and recognizing every individual’s value and agency. And yes —that includes preborn female and male children, who deserve the same protections as all human being.
Misrepresenting my record might support a political narrative, but it misleads the public and distracts from what matters most: preserving the rights and liberties of all Idahoans — including the unborn. That’s where my focus will remain.
If you want to understand my decisions — especially on the issues raised here — I invite you to read more:
And HB 88, which was the original point of Alison's article? You did vote against that one, correct?
I think the author's point stands. If legislators oppose one or both of these bills, it sends a message to half the voters in our state that they're a lesser priority to democracy, health and safety.
You should read my Substack in the link above, where I talk specifically about HB 88 and explain why I voted the way I did. The decision was rooted in principle, not in disregarding anyone’s rights or safety. I think it’s important to understand the full context before assuming intent—especially when so much of the conversation has been shaped by misleading narratives.
Oh, I read it. And it’s full of contradictions; you claim HB 88 is an expansion of government power and unnecessary , even though it clearly takes a justified target at men who solicit crimes. Then you go into a defensive SB 1059 Which is completely an expansion of government, power and police authority, even though abortion is already illegal in state, and aims to prosecute women who end a pregnancy for health reasons or whatsoever. And again abortion is already illegal.
Allison‘s argument remains. You’re waging a war on women.
The women I know in Idaho are hungry for more partnership not more domination in our relationships with others and the law. Is it still too basic to note that the alternative to patriarchy is not matriarchy (that only flips the gender of the dominator) but partnership? Republican men are terrified of being perceived as beneath yet they seem unable to imagine another structure. Every helpful program in Idaho is based on partnering.
Make sure that you understand that Trump is a convicted felon and sex offender.......Along with almost every one he has put in office. Practice what you preach...
There's also nothing wrong with accepting something from your neighbor or giving your neighbor extra stuff that you have. If you want to stand alone all by yourself then go to it.
But obviously you do need men to help you fix your car.
The attitude of not caring about anybody but yourself does not make your community a healthy place to live. And the attitude of don't touch my horse is also very very childish and I thought we had outgrown all of that crap.
Thank you, Allison for your insight into the backsliding of women’s rights in our great state. I sincerely hope the men and women in our communities wake up to the misogynistic and controlling agenda of these politicians and the out of state funding enticing them to do so. I hope every woman and every man who respects women will vote these people out!
Great article! The IFF is bad for Idaho!
If it were true. I could agree but it's not even true.
Well stated and documented!

You are my hero today and I raise up and call MWEG mighty. Stay true.
Thank you for writing this article. Very important to let people know what is going on and how this affects Idahoans.

Damn we’re good!
Thank you Allison!! 💜
Allison needs to check her facts first before she writes an incorrect narrative. Her statement is incorrect, and you can find that here. https://legislature.idaho.gov/wp-content/uploads/sessioninfo/2025/legislation/H0134LegCo.pdf

Not at all. Just needs to be factual.
Yeah, Chemtrail Clint and the rest of his IFF cohorts would gladly tell and force you to live as they see fit.
And call it, “Freedom!”
Their hypocrisy astounds me.

Terrible article. You are not fact checked your argument, and you are promoting a false narrative.
Shame on you.
Your credentials only demonstrate that you've not learned how to check your facts or report the truth.

In my opinion, one should keep their mouth shut when they don't know the true. Look how misleading this is for her followers.
