I admit, I'm terrified. At 71, I'm terrified my Social Security is not secure, I'm terrified of rising inflation, I'm terrified my country intends to take over Greenland, is alienating allies, and the current president is attempting to become a dictator. The GOP is going along with all this in the most disturbing fashion. Where did their principles go?

Americans who know history know how to combat fascism. First, notice, but don’t react to trump’s stupid shit like running for a third term or carving his face at Mt. Rushmore. These are just verbal distractions created to keep you from noticing what he’s really up to. Standard fascist maneuver. Next, get involved in even a small way - write letters to the editor, join a charity support group, donate to democracy loving legislators, work on a campaign, write postcards, download the app 5calls and call your legislators. You don’t have to do it all, but you’ll be surprised at how much calmer you’ll feel just doing something that contributes to the wellbeing of our country. Every individual small effort results in a tsunami of people power.
Just tonight, the collective effort nationwide of Americans who donated $5 or $10, wrote postcards, manned phone lines helped Susan Crawford win a crucial Wisconsin Supreme Court seat. She beat the candidate favored by trump and financed by musk. And I helped. You have no idea how great that feels!
And right now, I am one proud American, because we sent a strong message to those traitorous criminals - America will not be owned by corrupt billionaires. 🇺🇸

If trump really wants to target those responsible for undermining democratic elections, integrity of the courts and honest elections, he can find the guilty party by looking in the mirror. He’ll also find waste, fraud and abuse there.
