"He cloaks himself in righteous indignation, wielding his faith as a shield while practicing politics in a way that contradicts the teachings he claims to uphold." Pretty much counter to one of my fave gospel readings in Matthew:

“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

It's one I like to promote when confronted by those making such a grand display of their praying in the statehouse chambers where they pray and proclaim the "good news" while judging and condemning and seeking retribution on others, both with the same mouth. Quite the paradox for them to claim to be christian but not know, follow, or mimic any of Jesus' teachings, directives, and actions.

Expecting over $80,000? what does he pay himself? $4000 an hour? It would serve the GOP right if the Bingham Co. party became Democrats. They don't sue fellow party members.

“…while Smith turns the party into a tool for personal vengeance.”

Well, Smith doesn’t have much more work to do there. His far-right faction of the party is already a bunch of tools.

Since you asked, "What Kind of Conservative Are You?" my answer is, "I'm not."

However, as an Independent (thinker and voter), I learn from reading, listening, and understanding what others are passionate about or even just interested in!

Smith, Moon, and Durst are sad characters. During midterm debates, watching Durst debate two others for Superintendent of Education (I voted for Critchfield) and Moon for Secretary of State (I voted for McGrane) was a lesson in civics and civility. They offer very little for Idahoans who are serious about our future and our democracy. Smith doesn't deserve any mention.

While Brandon Durst may also be a tool, this article mentions Dustin Hurst, who is equally annoying and abusive.
