I will once again state that our current Idaho Republican Party and legislators are corrupt and it time to vote these people out. This Republican Party is voting against everyday Idahoans needs and wishes. They do not represent us just special interest groups so if you continue to vote republican because you always have, Idaho will continue to fail us!!!
Great piece, Greg. Unfortunately, too many people stop at the headline or a Facebook post, and what they believe often has more to do with the tribe they belong to than any real effort to understand the truth.
Mr. Graff…and I do mean Mister. Your blog and all the contributors are honest, cogent and
Illuminating. Even to a life long Democrat. I am, perhaps, genetically, not a Republican. As I am old I have known, respected and disagreed with Republicans all my life. At this point in time I respectfully suggest that the Republican Party has been co-opted by ideologies that are other than Republican or republican. I think the Democratic Party has issues that might be ameliorated by conservative democrats in that moderation is greatly needed. The Republicans party is beyond salvation in this days and age. Perhaps you might consider being a conservative Democrat in an aggressive and productive way. We both know we cannot and should not always get what we want, but we can come to productive compromise. That is valuable and that is American.
I second your suggestion Mr. Wipff. Traditional Republicans (the ones remaining that is) would be more useful in Idaho…and the nation…in voting Democratic across the board. If only they had listened to Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney in putting Country over party.
Idaho drove out extremism once before…we will do it again, but it won’t happen until Trump is six feet under.
Thank-you for continuing to shine a light on this topic. District 1 just experienced an incredible foul by the chair of the Bonner County Central Committee. Using committee funds, an “official” voter guide was mailed to every household in Bonner and Boundary County endorsing the chair for the LD1 senate seat.

Well done you two! What a sad state of affairs we find in our beloved USA.

Who’s running against him?
Chad is running against Rep. Mike Veile.
