Bryan Smith Loses Again, Because Losing Is What He Does Best
Bingham County Judge Shuts Down Bryan Smith's Latest Legal Stunt
Bryan Smith, everyone's least favorite East Idaho medical debt collection attorney and perennial political loser, suffered yet another humiliating defeat this week, courtesy of a Bingham County judge who effectively told him that his latest courtroom escapade wasn't worth a dime.
Smith, who represented the Idaho Republican Party (IDGOP) and its infamous chairwoman Dorothy Moon, had sought to squeeze $82,000 out of the Bingham County Republican Central Committee (BCRCC) to cover what he laughably termed "pro bono" legal fees. In typical Smith fashion, his claim was shot down faster than his multiple failed congressional campaigns.
This entire debacle began when the BCRCC rightfully contested Moon's arbitrary and clearly biased decision to invalidate their officer elections. Rather than follow party rules, Moon, backed by Smith’s notoriously heavy-handed legal tactics, insisted she had absolute authority to interfere. The BCRCC filed suit, arguing Moon and Smith acted dishonestly and violated the principles of good faith and transparency.
And guess what? They were partly right.
Judge Darren B. Simpson recognized that Smith's client, the IDGOP, had indeed bungled things badly enough that the BCRCC deserved certain concessions—specifically, transparency regarding who filed grievances against them and the preservation of their right to appeal Moon's decision. Contrary to Smith and Moon’s constant misleading claims, the BCRCC did achieve meaningful victories. In legal terms, this meant Smith wasn't fully the "prevailing party," and therefore, he couldn't cash in on his bloated attorney fee request.
As the judge wrote plainly, "both parties prevailed in part," meaning Bryan Smith’s attempt at raiding BCRCC's wallet was categorically denied. Translation: Smith’s bullying didn't pay off, literally.
This ruling underscores what Idahoans have known for years: Bryan Smith isn't just a bad candidate—he’s bad for Idaho. He's built a career not on merit but on legal intimidation, bullying tactics, and political scheming. His repeated courtroom failures echo his failed political bids, where Idaho voters repeatedly reject him.
The judge’s decision serves as another clear message from Idahoans: Bryan Smith, it's time to pack it up. People don’t want you. They don’t want your brand of toxic, heavy-handed politics, nor do they appreciate your attempts at weaponizing the legal system.
It's high time for Smith and Moon—and the rest of their cultish cadre who've hijacked the Idaho GOP—to get the hint and go. Bryan Smith’s shenanigans have consistently proven one thing: he's a professional loser who should retire before he does more harm to the good people of Idaho in his maniacal quest for power.

The only person telling everyone "he prevailed" was Smith. The officers of Bingham Co. Republicans who hold those positions today are substantially the same as the one's Moon tried to enjoin from conducting their own elections two years ago. I'm left wondering what, if anything, Smith actually won at all!
